How we count hours, kilometres & tips

Effective Working Time

We offer full-time, part-time, or mini-job contracts. Work is fully managed through a mobile app on your smartphone. You can choose to work using your own car or bicycle.

The employee's effective working time is determined exclusively by the weekly reports from a leading delivery platform, which are transmitted to the employer. The "active working hours" shown therein are the determining factor. Active working time is defined exclusively as the period between the employee's acceptance of an order and the proper delivery of the order to the customer. Active working time includes, in particular, travel to the relevant restaurant, any waiting time at the restaurant, collection of the order, travel to the customer, any waiting time at the delivery location, and handover of the order to the customer. Active working time ends upon proper handover of the order. No working time within the meaning of this contract exists for the period between the completion of one delivery and the acceptance of a further order; work is suspended during this period.

Effectively Travels Kilometres / Actual Kilometres Driven

The number of effectively travelled kilometres, or the actual kilometres driven, is determined exclusively by the reports provided by the Uber Eats platform and transmitted to the employer. The determining factor is the kilometres shown therein in connection with the execution of delivery orders. Only the distance covered in connection with an accepted delivery order is considered an effectively travelled kilometre. It starts from the employee's acceptance of the order, including travel to the relevant restaurant to collect the order, through to final delivery to the customer. The employee receives a kilometre allowance of €0.30 per effectively travelled kilometre for the use of a private vehicle in the course of delivery activities, which is calculated and paid out monthly.

We will transfer your salary exclusively to your bank account in accordance with your signed employment contract. Your effective compensation consists of €13.90 per hour, plus €0.30 per effectively travelled kilometre, as well as any electronic tips received.

You will receive your salary for the previous month between the fifth and tenth of the following month. All social security contributions and taxes are deducted in accordance with applicable regulations.

Tips: "Trinkgeld"

Any tips earned by the employee in the course of delivery activities, in cash or in electronic form, belong to the employee in full. The employer does not include it in the remuneration. Tips are not taken into account when calculating the contractually owed remuneration, nor for tax treatment purposes, to the extent permitted by law.
